Colored Rubber Bands

DYKEMA’s inventory includes over 200 different color/size combinations. Color rubberband orders from in-house supply are subject to a 2 LB minimum order and are generally shipped the same day if received prior to 2 PM Eastern Prevailing Time. Colored rubber bands can not be ordered online at this time; please email us or call today.

Custom Rubber Bands

If we do not have what you need in existing pre-cut inventory we can have it made as a custom order. Custom orders are fulfilled in one of three ways:

1. Custom Orders Cut from Existing Remnants

Rubber bands are made from extruded rubber tubing. After vulcanization, the soft rubber tubing is placed on rods and cured in heat chambers. It is then cut, washed, dried, and the rubber bands are packaged for customer use.

In the production process, a small amount of rubber is lost due to trimming, so more is made than is actually needed in each mix. This leftover rubber tubing is kept as remnants for future use.

The majority of colored rubber band requests received are processed from this rubber leftover tubing. As tubing is available for immediate use, remnant orders are usually processed in 1-5 business days. As this inventory constantly rotates, color availably changes day-to-day and our ability to fulfill requests will vary.

If a remnant of uncut rubber tubing exists in the color, flat length and wall size you need it can be cut to any width. Remnant orders are subject to a 8 LB minimum.

Our tubing is manufactured in the following standard flat length sizes: 7/8", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 1-3/4", 2", 2-1/4", 2-1/2", 2-3/4", 3", 3-1/4", 3-1/2", 4", 4-1/2", 5", 5-1/2", 6", 6-1/2", 7", 7-1/2", 8", 8-1/2", 9", 9-1/2", 10", 10-1/2" and 11"

Wall thicknesses are made in the following standard thickness: .035", .040", .045", .050", .055", .062", .070", .075", .080", .090", .100", .110" and .125"

Generally rubber bands of 3-1/2" and less have a standard .035" wall, 4" to 6" rubber bands have standard walls from .040" to .055" wall and 7" and greater rubber bands have standard walls .062" thick. Lesser amounts of rubber tubing are available in non-standard wall thicknesses.

Black, White, Blue, Green and Red are more commonly ordered, therefore, their availability as remnants is generally greater. Other colors include: Orange, Aqua, Chocolate, Lavender, Purple, Pink, Lime Green, and Turquoise.

2. Custom Manufacture

If we do not stock a color/size you need and no remnants are available, we can manufacture your bands – subject to a 85 LB minimum order. Production generally requires a 3-5 business day lead time. Our USA Specialty Mill can fabricate product from 7/8" to 11" flat lengths and .035" to .125" wall thicknesses in the incremental sizes listed above. Bands from 5/8" to 15" flat length can be made overseas; but, there is a 3 month lead time.

3. PMS Color Match

If you need a PMS color we can meet your needs within one color shade on the PMS color chart. This service requires a 50 LB minimum order and 2-3 week lead time.
